A 40% chance of rain

I just returned from a 10 day trip to southern Germany. Each day was an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the countryside. Nestled in the hills and meadows are quaint Bavarian chalets with hand carved wooden balconies draped with colorful flowers. The general tone of everyone we met was one of relaxation and hospitality. It was like stepping back in time. The weather was less than picture perfect and somehow that didn't matter. By accepting each day as it arrived, there was a different perspective on how to experience it. I sometimes had to consciously recollect what the weather had been earlier in my stay. A far cry from the trips where I would allow such conditions to dampen my enjoyment of the day. I did keep my thoughts focused on having perfect weather for our trip to Oberammergau to see the Passion Play. Of course, after a week of rainy days, the sky was clear and the temperature was perfect. It doesn't hurt to ask the Universe for such conditions.
