A state of bliss
Bliss is a state of extreme satisfaction, joy, and happiness. We are often reminded these days to follow our bliss, but many of us don't know what that looks like. Think of a time when you felt connected to something outside yourself. It may have been your newborn child, a cause, or your higher source. How did you feel in that moment? If you felt at one with whatever that was, then you were likely experiencing bliss. For the majority of us it is a fleeting sensation, but it can be extended with practice and focus. Be observant as to what interrupts the flow of bliss for you. It may be a distraction from outside of you like a telephone call. Or it may be from within such as self-talk that reminds you of other tasks you need to be performing. Just remind yourself that you can return to this state whenever you want. When you are in a state of bliss your brain is actually producing chemicals that support your sense of well-being. Take time to think about what creates a sense of bliss within you. What can you do to increase its presence in your life?
