Cloudy with a chance of sunshine
It's all a matter of perspective. You can focus on any direction you choose. The clouds can bring much needed rain or they can part to reveal magnificent sunshine. It is not a matter of one being good and the other bad, but what you make of it. When I was recently visiting Hawaii, the weather was unseasonably rainy and cold. Traveling along the coast of the island during a rainy spell, I observed the sun shining through the raindrops creating a rainbow that ended in the sea. That was the first time I had ever seen such a phenomenon. It takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow. Think of the times in your life when it felt permanently cloudy. What was happening and did it last as long as you predicted? What were you able to take away from that experience that made you a better person? How does that effect your life today? What you learned is the sunshine you shed on the situation. Find opportunities to see the sunshine whenever possible in spite of the clouds. How does that sunshine feel today?
