Do not pass GO
For many of us who played or still do play the game of Monopoly, the card you wanted to avoid picking was the one that told you to "Go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200." This directive has come to be associated with an unfavorable, irreversible outcome. We may say to ourselves that this is only a part of a children's game, and yet we may be unconsciously appy it to our lives more often than we think. Whenever we pass judgment on ourselves we are sentencing ourselves to a negative place. We may see no hope of it ever being any different for us. We are a victim of its effects and it colors the way we experience the world. The other players are passing you by as you wait to get out of jail. When we pick this card it affects our freedom and our finances. In the meantime we observe the other players moving freely about the board, making deals and building their bank accounts. How can you avoid the consequences of this card? Be mindful that it is in the deck and recognize that it is only a temporary condition. Keep your "Get of of Jail Free" card handy at all times as a way to release yourself from negative thinking. Before you know it you can be back on the board having fun since after all it is just a game. But what we do to imprison ourselves in not a game. It has serious consequences that are in your power to change based on how you see life happening. What can you do when the "Do not pass GO" card is presented to you?
