Embracing change

Date:
September 5, 2024

We all know that change is inevitable. Many people find themselves resistant to change because they likely have little control over it. The process of change puts us in a state of uncertainty. What will my life look like when change occurs? Will life be better or worse after this change? What we do know is that, whatever that change is, it will be followed by more changes. Think about all the changes you have experienced throughout your lifetime. The fact that you are reading this blogpost attests to you surviving whatever those changes were. Even the ones that might have felt most traumatic are now part of your history. You may have lost your job, ended a long term relationship, or watched your life savings disappear. Yet you are still here today. What is most important is what we learn from the changes in our lives. They may indicate a need to be more discerning or to become more adaptable. Going through certain changes may involve the process of letting go in the form of grieving what was before embracing what is new. Hopefully you will begin to see change as the entry into a new chapter in your life. What was the most recent change you experienced and how did you deal with it?
