Hope springs eternal

As the northern hemisphere slips into Spring, we are reminded of a time for rebirth. Those who experienced the freezing temperatures and what seemed like endless snow shoveling were comforted by thoughts of warmer days and blossoming trees. It is our hope for such changes that fuels us to continue on our path. It is as present today as it was when the story of Pandora's box was created. Pandora was presented with a box as a gift from the gods. She was commanded to never open it; however she did not adhere to that directive. When she opened the box, all of the ills of the world were released. Only Hope remained at the bottom of the box. Hope is what can assist us in our darkest hours. Think of how often you hear people include it in statements and wishes for health, finances, relationships, happiness and whatever else is happening in our lives. Hope serves to ease the burdens of life knowing that something better awaits us. What are you hoping for today?
