It's never too late

Do you ever find yourself missing opportunities by using excuses like, “I’m too old to do that” or “I’ll think about that tomorrow”? It may be related to returning to a formal setting for your education or exploring financial investments. There are numerous reasons for avoiding taking action. Perhaps you will learn that you lack the needed information to move forward with making the decision regarding this opportunity. You may not know how to go about gathering what you need to know. Or perhaps you are locked in what feels safe and familiar and want to remain within that comfort zone. Whatever you reason, ask yourself if there is one small step you could take to take advantage of that opportunity. This requires that you be willing to step outside your comfort zone to step into a life you might never have imagined. Remember that you don’t have to do this alone. Find someone you trust who can guide you in what he or she did to achieve a goal they had set. There are so many resources available to you both personally and professionally who would gladly assist you. All you need do is ask. Envision what your life would look like if you put your justifications for you and pursued something that would ultimately benefit you. You that it is easier than you thought (or feared). Don’t let your age be a barrier. I completed my doctorate when I was approaching 60 and completed it with a 4.0GPA. I also secured the services of a financial advisor to assist me with investments. You can do this. What is something you have always wanted to do that you can start doing today?
