Just say yes

When I made a major transition from one field to another several years ago, I realized I would not be beginning at the same level of visibility as I did in my previous line of work. While my transferable skills were still with me, I was aware that I would need to create a new circle of colleagues as a way to network and attract clients. One way to accomplish this was to volunteer for opportunities related to my new line of work while at the same time maintaining balance so as not to burn myself out. All I needed to do was to be open to what presented itself. I would even volunteer for tasks of which I had little experience reminding myself that the right resources would make themselves available to execute these tasks and they did. The only limits I had were those I imposed upon myself. Here was a way to stretch my boundaries and my comfort zone. This is how we grow. For individuals who are considering making a change to another occupation, one of the most effective ways is to seek out volunteer opportunities and say yes to them. The Universe will send an adequate supply once you set that intention. What are opportunities you can say yes to today?
