Looking ahead by looking back

Date:

I look back at my childhood and recall what I thought my life would look like today. I still remember thinking to myself that I would be 51 when the new millennium arrived and that was really old. I also thought I would still be living in the town where I grew up. Now that 2000 has long come and gone, I think to myself that 51 wasn't old at all, especially when I consider that I was still working, taking classes, and having an active social life. I now live over 2000 miles from where I grew up and travel around the world. Sometimes I think I have done more in the last 10 years than in the first 60. And I am having a lot more fun. How is life today different from how you predicted it when you were young?
