Mindsets
As you gather experiences in your lifetime, each of them contributes to your perception of what that life looks like. Your mindset is colored by each and every event that comes to pass. If your mindset is that of a victim, you will live a life that reinforces that belief. You may ask yourself, “Why does this always happen tome?” At the same time your mindset may be that of a winner who always comes up on top. What may appear negative in the moment eventually is transformed into a positive. Think of your mindset as a magnet that draws experiences that confirm your perspective on life. The good news is that you are not sentenced to live out the effects of that mindset if it no longer serves you. When I was in my early 20s, people I would meet would tell me that I was my own worst enemy. My mindset was that obvious. Eventually I developed the tools to turn that around to where people I now meet tell me that they wish they lived the life they observe me living. This is the power of our mindsets. Ask yourself which version of your life would bring you happiness and begin to take the steps to make any changes needed. Start with focusing on what is positive and watch more of that enter your life. How would you describe your current mindset and what changes can help make it more positive?
