Mutual attraction
Think of a time when you met someone and it felt like you had known them all your life. You felt totally at home with them and they with you. I had such an experience just yesterday. The person I met had co-authored several books I had just read and through a strange twist of circumstances became a guest in my home. As we talked one on one she told me that the reason it was so easy to converse was that we already knew each other. All we were doing was reconnecting much like two old friends who hadn't seen each other in awhile. It certainly felt that way. I know that I didn't recognize the person I met on a physical level for nothing about her physical form seemed familiar. It was deeper than that. I wondered if the people we meet and for whom we feel a mutual attraction were part of our lives in the past. If in physics we say that energy can neither be created nor destroyed and we each possess a life energy, then that energy passes from one receptacle to another (our bodies) over time. Anything is possible. Perhaps we meet others who were shared this time on the planet in their journey of life energy. It took over 60 years for that connection yesterday to occur and I wonder how many more situations of mutual attraction will take place as time passes. This certainly wasn't the first time I have had this type of experience. It is definitely an interesting concept to ponder. I realize that there is so much that we don't know about life and that it is important to remain open to its messages. Think of the people you have met for whom there seemed an immediate and deep connection. Did it feel like you had known each other before yet had never had contact with? What was that experience like for you?
