Needs and wants
Your words are powerful. They help to create your reality. Two words that contribute to the reality you create are "need" and "want." "I need a new job." "I want to find a partner." "I need more money." It is important for you to know what emotion you are associating with what you desire. Want and need represent a longing for something that you do not currently have: a new job, a partner, money, and so on. We know that you attract that upon which you focus. In this case it is on the state of want and need. These are two words I have consciously been very selective in using lately. I now choose to make positive statements such as "I am a magnet for wealth" as opposed to "I need more money." Or "I am feeling fit and healthy at my goal weight" rather than "I want to lose weight." When I make such statements I find that the resources for receiving what I declare become present. Be mindful of your words today. What is the object of your desire and how are your words keeping it at bay? Practice making statements free of the words "need" and "want." Then watch what you attract. How have "need" and "want" been getting in the way of you attracting what you desire?
