Stress relief

Date:
January 24, 2026

For many of us we had  lived in the shadow of the pandemic for more than a year . Our lives had changed significantly as we donned our masks, engaged in social distancing, and limited our travels. Our world had shrunk to the four walls of our homes and sometimes our work places. We felt isolated, confined, and uncertain. Is it any wonder that we were feeling so stressed? It shows up as irritability and short-temperedness towards those around us. That is a natural reaction to the situation. Think about the actions you could control to reduce that stress. Take a walk. Identify a location you have always wanted to visit and go on a virtual vacation there on your computer. Call a friend. Read a book that has been sitting on your nightstand for the past year. Watch your favorite movie multiple times. Do a jigsaw puzzle. Schedule an online happy hour. Cook a special dinner for you and your family and serve it on your best china. Listen to your favorite music while doing household chores. Take a nap. The list is endless. Watch what happens to your stress levels. What are you doing to manage the stress in your life today?
