Temporary inconvenience

Have you ever seen the road signs that state: "Temporary inconvenience. Permanent Improvement?" This is a good reminder of what occurs throughout our lives. It happens every time we approach what appears to be an obstacle towards reaching our goal. It would be wonderful if lives were like smoothly paved highways that never needed repairs. It is important to remember that repairs are needed when the current road no longer serves its purpose. It needs to be widened to accommodate more traffic or resurfaced to allow for a smoother ride. It means that we may need to slow down or take a detour while construction is underway, but we know that it is only temporary. Once the repairs are completed, we can appreciate the improvements. The same is true of your life. Things are going along smoothly until you see the road sign informing you that a change is occurring. You may feel irritated, frustrated, or annoyed about the delay. Know that you will be given new information or experiences that will eventually have you riding smoothly on your journey ahead.
