The glass half full
When we have an experience, whether it be positive or negative, we always have a choice of perspective. Remember the story of the two little boys who were each led separately to a room full of horse manure. The first complained that he had been subjected to a room that smelled and saw no purpose in it. The second little boy grabbed a shovel and began to dig frantically saying, "With all this horse manure there has to be a pony under here somewhere!" It's all in how we look at it. When we see the glass as half empty, we tend to look at what is missing. That becomes our reality. When we see the glass as half full, we see possibility and acceptance for what is. The more we focus on the possibility, the more opportunities we have for it to manifest itself. As you walk through your day, be aware of your perspective on what is happening around you. Is your glass half empty or half full at that moment?
