The power of believing

Beliefs are simply thoughts that we have on a continual basis. These thoughts may be the result of conclusions we have come to through our personal experiences, what others in authority have told us, or what appears to be logical. On the negative side we believe that people cannot be trusted, that the economy is bleak, or that eating certain foods will result in unwanted weight gain. On the positive side we believe that people are innately good, that the Universe is the source of financial abundance, and that change is part of life. Whatever we choose to believe is what we experience in life because our thoughts generate our reality. This is why it is critical to examine our beliefs and discard those that are counterproductive to the life we imagine. It is easier said than done and requires a conscious effort on our part. We do this through journaling to identify new positive beliefs, positive affirmations, and meditation. In time our old beliefs are replaced with ones that are more likely to vibrate at a level that brings about a manifestation of what we desire. What old beliefs do you have that need to be discarded?
