The sum of its parts

The greatest masterpiece of art is a combination of a series of brush strokes. The most magnificent garden owes its beauty to the individual flowers and trees within it. A symphony is a collection of notes written across staffs. The greater cannot exist without the smaller. Imagine each of the former missing some piece of it. It would detract from the final product. The same is true of your presence on this planet. Together we compose the human population. It is quite incredible in the potential it holds. It can create and destroy. It functions based on the actions of individuals. History is not based on one individual but on the collective actions of hundreds if not millions. Consider the power that you hold as a single entity within this collective. How do you choose to use that power? Do you add to the progress that man is capable of achieving or do you hold back in fear? You may add the brush stroke or musical note that prompts others to take notice and act in similar fashion. Individually we can make choices that make a difference. What choices will you make today?
