Time heals

When we experience a loss, our friends remind us that time heals all wounds. It is as if time possessed a secret power that could bring us peace of mind at some future date. If you perceive time as your Source, then that is likely possible. If not, then there may be other factors at play. The event that brought about the emotional pain you are feeling becomes colored by new experiences. If you have had a break up in a significant relationship, someone new may enter your life or you may choose to focus your energy on nurturing relationships with close friends. The impact of the death of a loved one becomes easier to cope with as you focus on the positive memories you have in the time you spent together. The job that you no longer have and thought was so important is replaced by an even better one. These are all gifts that support you in these trying times. Where do these gifts originate? For me, I know that they come from a Source greater than myself. I often comment to people that life doesn't always get better, but it does get different. You move to a different place in your life to where you feel a different set of emotions around the loss. Perhaps joy, serenity, or acceptance. What are you healing from today?
