To act or not to act

A number of months ago I made an offer of service to several organizations to which I belong. I was specific in my offer that was in the scope of what they do. And I waited and waited and waited. I contacted each of them several times to check on the status of my offers. And I waited and waited and waited. As I often explain to people, sometimes no answer is an answer. This left me with a number of options. I could choose to make up a story about why I never heard a response. I could acknowledge my willingness to be of service and let it go. I could continue to communicate my intention and hope that someone will get back to me. Any one of them is doable and it is up to me as to which one I take action on. It reminds me that there are times when we must create our own closure on a situation and then move on. We don't always have a clear response to our requests and that is part of life.
