We are all the same
We like to think of ourselves as separate entities. While it is true that no two people share exactly the same DNA, we are more alike than we are different. Unless something occurs during pregnancy to affect our physical development or we sustain a life changing injury, our bodies are equipped with the same two arms and legs, a brain, a heart, and systems that support life. We all pretty much follow the same stages of growth and development. Our emotions are universal. People across the planet experience and express love, anger, joy, and sorrow. We all need to have a sense of control over what happens in our lives and the freedom to choose our response to those events. The experiences we have based on where we live, the nature of our upbringing, and what we do occupationally, all color the expression of what we have in common. Yet we hold a common bond with everyone else who has ever lived or lives today in what life offers us on the human level. How do you see yourself as being connected to those around you today?
