Writing your future

Date:

If you believe that you create your own reality, then what you do today will have an effect on the life you live tomorrow. If you approach your life today as the glass half full, more will be added to it tomorrow. The same is true of seeing your life as the glass half empty. The choice is yours. This doesn't mean that events that you see initially as negative won't enter your life. Loss and disappointment are part of our human nature. It is what you do with these events that help write your future. I recall a time in my life when everything seemed to contribute to the glass being half empty. My days were filled with fear and anxiety. The solution I chose was to seek out substances and situations to anesthetize my thoughts and feelings. That turned out to be a temporary fix that would lead to a disastrous ending. I had to be reminded that the true solution came from reconnecting to the source that created me. Every time I write this blog, I strengthen my connection to this source. It has been a long slow process, but well worth the effort. I know that whatever obstacles and challenges come into my life, they are temporary and do not need to define my future. Remember that you have the power to write your future. What does that future look like for you based on your thoughts and feelings today?
