A laugh a day
We sometimes take life too seriously. There is an old adage that laughter is the best medicine. It just may be in that it raises the dopamine levels in the brain and reduces our stress levels. We just feel better when we are laughing. When was the last time you experienced what I call a "belly laugh?" This is the laughter that you feel in every cell of your body. It can come from watching a comedy show, watching children or animals at play, or reading a humorous email. One way to reduce stress is to be willing to laugh at ourselves. We can engage in some very laughable behavior. Look for opportunities to laugh today. Even better is when we laugh with others since it can be infectious. Check in to your physical and emotional states after you do this. You should notice a difference in your well being. What was the last good laugh you had?
