A life of regrets

Date:
January 5, 2018

How many times have you heard someone say, "If only I had..." or "I wish I had...?" These words are usually uttered at a point where the action is no longer a possibility. "I wish I had traveled more," "If only I hadn't waited so long to quit a job that I hated," "If only I had spent more time with my grandchildren." You can lament the past when you realize how much you missed in your life or you can choose to do more of what you love today. Begin to plan for that destination you always wanted to see. Find a position that better suits what you want to do for a living. Schedule a visit to those you love. I have a list of my 101 wishes in life. I started it several years ago. Notice that I call it my wish list as opposed to my bucket list but you can name it whatever you want. I review it on a regular basis. It is amazing how many of my wishes have manifested. When they do I write a new one to replace it. All of them are in the realm of possibility even though some are really stretching it. But who cares? If I don't dream it, it isn't likely to happen. When I reach the end of my life here, I can look back with no regrets. I will see a life filled with beautiful memories. This is possible for anyone to do because your idea of a life fulfilled looks very different from mine or anyone else's. What can you put on your wish list today to avoid regretting it tomorrow?
