A little faster, please

When I was in elementary school I was taught that whatever created everything around us has had an eternal existence. It always was and always will be. If that is the case, then the passage of weeks and years is like a blink on an eye to that entity. For us as humans, we recognize that we are physically present in this form for a finite period of time. We measure our lives by the changes that take place both in us and around us. We create milestones that mark these changes. We start school, we obtain our driver's licenses, we graduate from school, we begin to work, we may marry, we retire. We sense the clock ticking and we are anxious to attain a milestone and move on to the next one. We may feel impatient around it manifesting for us. When we are young, we want to be grown up sooner. We want to attract a mate before we are too old. We can't wait to retire to do all the things we are postponing until our golden years. But that is our agenda and the Universe continues as it always has and always will be. Perhaps we might think about using the precious years that we have here to enjoy each day as it comes. If we live long enough, we will age into adulthood. We will meet the right and perfect partner. And we will reach our retirement years. If we try to rush time, we may miss allowing ourselves to experience the gifts that the moment brings. Think about slowing down and appreciating the day. We'll get to the end of our journey soon enough when we think about time and the Universe. What do you need to slow up today to enjoy?
