A pain in the neck and other physical discomfort
I notice the relationship between what I think and what I physically feel related to those thoughts. When I would think or say, "He is a real pain in the neck (or some other anatomical part of me), I would soon begin to experience a tightening in the back of my neck. When I would refer to having knots in my stomach, I would have that physical sensation in my abdomen. I think I had to be particularly careful of statements that centered around some body part killing me, i.e. my feet are killing me. The Universe does not dissect our thoughts and determine which are literal and which are figurative. It takes us at our word and delivers a response to our thoughts and statements. Our natural state is wellness. Our beliefs support that state. This is not to say that we can immediately think a broken arm healed. What we can do is think of the healing process as fast and efficient. Then we see the effect of our thoughts. What are you physically feeling today that is directly related to what you are thinking about a situation?
