Avoid the rush

Date:
July 16, 2024

Our days can be spent rushing from one activity to the next. Our “to do” list can be endless. We measure our worth by the number of tasks we accomplish in the day. These tasks can be performed in the home, at work, or even at play. We fall into bed exhausted only to awaken to more of the same. We know that being in a rush can affect our clarity when it is time to make a decision. We also ignore all the beauty that surrounds us. Life is no more than a flurry of activities. Even in the midst of a hectic day, take thirty minutes to relax and refocus. Your thinking will become clearer and your stress level will drop. The thirty minutes can consist of meditation, taking a walk in nature, reading an inspirational book, or spending time with your children or pets. Perhaps there are other activities that come to mind that can help you to slow down. Make a commitment to take this time each day for your well being. Then watch the difference it makes in your life. How will you spend that thirty minutes today?
