But that's not what I asked for

When we send our intentions out to the Universe, we sometimes think that the Universe ignored them. We were very specific in what we asked for, but it never showed up in that form. We questioned whether any of this actually works. I set the intention that communication between my partner of seven years and me would improve and what occurred was a deep conversation in which I was told that the relationship was over. Not what I had intended, but what I needed for my own growth. Had I held to a specific outcome of my design, I wonder where my life would be today. The Universe always answers our prayers; maybe not in the way we had planned, but in a way that serves our highest interest. What have you asked for that showed up in a way you hadn't planned, but was even better than you intended?
