Celebrate the day

There are events that we celebrate to acknowledge special occasions. They may be holidays, anniversaries, or retirements. One that I particular enjoy celebrating is a birthday. This is the day that each of us was introduced into this lifetime. You arrived with a unique set of birthday gifts that would distinguish you from everyone else on the planet. These traits and talents were given to you to share with all that you meet on your journey through life. It is up to you as to how and when you would use them. Hollywood has produced a number of films centered on a theme of what the world would be like had the main character never been born. I can't think of a single one of them that depicts that world as a better place without them. The films also show a transformation of the main character as he or she realizes the gift of life to be experienced and shared. I write this today because I am experiencing the joy of what a birthday can bring. What greater gift than to receive messages from those I know in acknowledging the day I arrived many years ago. If today is your birthday, do something special to bless your presence. If it is not your birthday, send love and good will to someone who is celebrating one. What will you do to celebrate your day?
