Curtain calls

Date:
June 11, 2018

If you've ever performed before an audience you know the feeling of elation that comes with curtain calls after the final lines, song, or dance steps. The people in your presence are acknowledging the work that went into the piece. You have connected with them at some level and they want you to know that. What would your curtain call at the end of your life look like? How would people be applauding the work that you have done that has contributed to the world being a better place with you having performed in it? Would you be met with a standing ovation? It is up to you to determine that level of applause. Begin each day with the intention to do good in the world. It may be through a kind word or action that uplifts another. Be mindful of the way in which you carry yourself through the day. Ask yourself what the effect of the words you speak will have on those around you. If you are tempted to be unkind, remind yourself how you would feel if those words were directed to you. What would you like the response to be as you take your final bow?
