Diversity

Imagine a world in which each man and each woman was an exact duplicate. There would be no identifying features to distinguish one from the other. The brain would generate thoughts that match those of billions of others who inhabit the planet. It would be necessary to introduce oneself by perhaps a serial number or some other code. What would living in that world be like? In our world we come in a variety of skin shades, heights, shapes, weights, and so forth. The variations go on and on. It is these differences that allow us to recognize a familiar face in a crowd of thousands. It is the differences in thoughts and beliefs that force us to look at other ways of seeing the world outside of our own perspective. Diversity is what creates a rainbow world where the colors coexist without dominating one another. Red does not try to be yellow and blue does not try to be purple.
