Doing your best
I sometimes work with clients who evaluate their past work ruminating over the mistakes they made and how they should have done better. Their evaluations are usually based on the results of their actions. We refer to this as "20/20 hindsight". People will often use this as the grounds for beating themselves up psychologically. This does little to help us to attract what we truly desire in life. When we have made mistakes, the best way to approach them is to ask ourselves what we could do differently next time. We also have to remember that we were doing the best we could given the circumstances and the information we had. Perhaps it means asking a few more questions in the future before we take action. When we are in synchronicity with the Universe, we may find ourselves making fewer mistakes. All we can do is our best at that moment and release the outcome. We may even find out that what we thought was the worst decision we could have made at the time turns out to bring the greatest blessings. What have you done in the past that you wish you had done differently and how can you do your best in the future when similar circumstances present themselves?
