Exercising my comfort zone muscle
I find that I still resist stepping out of my comfort zone at times. It just seems so much easier to function within those boundaries. I tend to equate comfort with familiarity and I like what is familiar because I feel control over the situation. I can justify my presence in that zone in many ways. I tell myself that I don't have enough time, it isn't something I do well, or simply to let someone else do it. When that mind set occurs, I can decide to move through the resistance and fear with Divine aid. Amazingly the resources and human assistance follow and before I know it my comfort zone has expanded. Imagine if ancient man had decided to remain in caves rather than take risks and explore his surroundings. What are you willing to walk through today in order to stretch your comfort zone?
