Goals and desires

When I state that I want more business to come my way, that is a desire. When I state that my client base increases by 20% over last month, that is a goal. It is difficult to measure the results of a desire. The business could certainly come your way, but not add to your coffers. Twenty referrals that are seeking parties to bid on projects would meet your desire for more business. Twenty referrals who place orders during the month would meet your goals. Goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time sensitive. One of my desires is to travel around the world. One of my goals is to visit all seven continents before I turn 65. My goals support my desires and my desires help generate my goals. What desires are you developing into specific goals today?
