Heart connections

Imagine a golden thread that is attached to your heart. Now see it connected to the heart of someone you love. Now imagine more golden threads connecting your heart to the hearts of family and friends. Continue to do this until you see your heart threads connected to everyone else on the planet. Imagine each thread to be a conductor of love flowing in both directions from the giver to the receiver. The love is of equal force and intensity no matter who the recipient is. Think of what the planet would look like covered by this web of golden threads transmitting nothing but love. Now picture people consciously choosing to sever their threads breaking the strength of the network. Would it continue to generate the same power and intensity as before? Likely not. It would be similar to reducing the electricity that runs to a light bulb. It would be severely diminished in its brightness. When we choose to exclude anyone from our heart connections we are in essence diminishing the source of power from each of us that transmits love throughout our planet. This requires that we set aside our animosity towards others and send them thoughts of love and whatever might heal or ease the pain that they are feeling today. When we do so, we begin to feel the power of our heart connections. What would it take for you to connect your heart to everyone on the planet today?
