What are you doing to contribute to the betterment of the world today? When I serve on a committee that is putting on an event, we are told that we should leave the place where we met in better shape than when we found it. The same is true for our presence on the planet. We ask ourselves, "What difference can my being here make?" To answer this question, look at the talents you have been given and be willing to use them. Are you a good communicator? How are you listening to those around you in a way that truly conveys to them that they are being heard? Are you a person who sees the good in everything around you? Can you use that to bring some cheer to a person who looks like they could use a kind word that tells them they matter? Are you a natural problem solver who can use that talent to get two opposing opinions to a common ground? Look for opportunities to use your talents throughout the day, not just in one environment. Imagine 7 billion people living life in this manner each day. Think of how powerful each person is in what he or she can contribute in ways that don't require any financial resources to accomplish. What would your contributions be today?
