Is yesterday your today?
Your beliefs and memories are strong predictors of the life you lead today. If you believe that life is unfair based on past experience, you will likely encounter events that reinforce that belief. If you believe that you deserve good health and have a history to support that, most likely that will be your reality. I am see signs in stores and pharmacies advertising upcoming flu shots. My friends ask me if I have had mine. I tell them I have not had a flu shot in over eighteen years and don't plan to do so. The last time I had the flu was at the time I remember receiving the inoculation. I travel extensively and am exposed to hundreds of people at a time on planes and ships. No flu or colds. That is the past that I bring into my present based on my beliefs. I don't question what works. I also know that there are some current beliefs that I hold that definitely need changing. The first step is to become aware of them and their effect on my life. Then I can decide what to do with them.
