No time for me
We tend to pack our days with numerous activities leaving little, if any, time for ourselves. One of my favorite phrases is that we are "human beings, not human doings." While it is important to occupy our time with activities that make a difference for ourselves and others, it is equally important to carve out time to go inward. This usually means 30 minutes during the day that we give ourselves to focus on what we desire and to be receptive to ways that it will manifest for us. We each have our own ways of approaching this. For me, I use the time that it takes to write this blog, journal, and listen to a meditational CD. That easily takes up 30 minutes and has made a significant difference in my life. Since these have become daily habits, I always find the time I need to accomplish them. There is no right way to do this; it is simply what is doable and productive for you. I had to decide at some point that I was important enough to do this and that it actually enhanced my other activities since they now carried more meaning and purpose. What would you do in the 30 minutes you set aside for yourself each day?
