Nothing lasts forever
You have probably heard the statement that the only constant in life is change. When I was a child, I experienced the presence of my parents, grandparents, and even great grandparents. Now that I am in mymid70s, I occupy the upper generation in the family hierarchy. I sometimes ask myself where the time has gone. I watch how friends and family make their transition to what awaits them knowing that there will come a time when I will be joining them. There is a calm acceptance and resignation that accompanies this change. What matters is how we spend the days that we are alive. It is important to live life to the fullest with no regrets. Take risks, take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves, and love without reservation. Approach each day filled with anticipation as to what it holds for you. No two days are ever the same. Each lasts for only 24 hours as a new one begins. No matter what you are going through in life, remember that there can be a shift at any time. It may be as simple as changing your attitude toward the situation. What have you gone through in the past that looks very different today?
