Pay it forward

Shakespeare wrote in the Merchant of Venice: "So shines a good deed in a naughty world." Our conscious effort to perform good deeds is a positive aspect of the human condition. Think about an opportunity you might have to make a difference in someone's life through your anonymous actions. It can be as simple as being in a yogurt store and paying for the order of the person behind you. I have even heard of individuals who will randomly choose a name from the telephone directory and mail the person a cash amount with no other information included than "Pass on a kind deed." We know that whatever kind action we take is returned tenfold. Perform a random act of kindness and watch what shows up in your life as the Universe's way of thanking you. What can you do today that can make a difference in someone else's life?
