Quiet time

Our days are filled with activities that require us to expend physical and mental energy. Our minds can race ahead of the present with worry and concern for the future. When this occurs it is time to set aside some time to ground ourselves. Find a place that is free of distraction. Clear your mind of what is bothering you and ask for clarity. Be willing to sit in silence for at least 15 minutes and listen for guidance. When distractions appear, simply acknowledge their presence and return to the quiet. You will know what needs to be done as you spend this time with yourself. Some people experience this as flashes of intuition or a gut feeling on how to proceed. I had this occur for me when I was in a difficult financial situation a number of years ago. I met with a number of professionals prior to doing this and not one of them could offer a solution. In silence I found an easy and doable solution much to the astonishment of those I had met with. What are you facing today that could benefit from some quiet time alone?
