Sharing abundance

A colleague contacted me and asked if I would consider facilitating a workshop for a professional group. After speaking to the individual coordinating the event I realized I had several choices. I could proceed with the arrangements for the training focusing on the fees I would charge even though it was outside my skill level. Or I could find someone else who was well-versed in what the group needed and refer them to her. I made a decision to make the referral knowing that, when we let go of situations that are driven by our ego, we find even better opportunities coming our way. Once I made this decision, it took me no time at all to find a highly-qualified person to conduct the training. I also knew that what was most important was providing the level of service that the group needed. I know that I attract more abundance when I share from a position that there is more than enough to go around than when I attempt to control outcomes out of fear of scarcity.
