Surrounding yourself with positive people
Think about the people around you. What do they talk about? Do you like being in their presence? How do you feel after leaving the conversation? There are several people I know who, after spending just a few minutes with them, leave me with a feeling of being drained emotionally and physically. This is different from talking to someone who shares a misfortune or loss in his or her life but is not consumed by it. They accept the event as part of life and are willing to walk through the thoughts and feelings accompanying it and putting it in the proper perspective. I have learned to minimize time spent with the prior group of people and focus on being with people who have a positive outlook on life. These are the people I look forward to seeing and talking to because I tend to feel uplifted after our time together. They are individuals who live in life's solutions and not the problems surrounding them. When I feel better about life, it is reflected in what and who I attract. I feel more in alignment to what my purpose in life is and how to achieve that. Who are the people in your life today and how do you feel when you are with them?
