Survival of the fittest
What is it that we need to survive in life? Most certainly it is having our basic needs met such as food, clothing, and shelter. When those needs are met we can strive to nurture the other aspects of who we are. We develop that part of us that sustains us at a higher level. The fittest person is one who attains balance in all life areas. This includes the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual components of who we are. It includes honoring our bodies through proper diet and exercise, learning something new every day of our lives, monitoring our emotional states, and learning to connect with a higher Source. Think of people around you who are well-balanced in these four areas. How do you see them living in this world? Are they successful or are they struggling in life? These people can serve as our role models and we can begin to see the advantages of living life in this manner. What are you doing today to be the fittest person you know?
