The beauty of the Universe

I had the pleasure of visiting the conservatory in our area as part of a business meeting. Housed within its whitewashed windows were numerous species of orchids and other tropical specimens. One of the rooms contains a pool covered with lily pads. The colors were spectacular and one in particular was a vibrant shade of purple I had never before seen. The person conducting our tour through the facility said that this one particular water lily was unusual in its coloration. As I stood there observing it, I became lost in the moment. I was reminded of the incredible natural beauty present on this planet. It can be as simple as a single water lily or as full of grandeur as a snow-covered mountain vista. The Universe is constantly expressing itself through this beauty and we often forget to take notice of it. When we do, we realize the interconnectedness of everything on the planet, both living and nonliving. Life takes on a deeper meaning in that moment and instills us with a sense of peace and harmony.
