The gift

Last night I dreamed I had been given the ability to see into the minds and hearts of people around me. The person who possessed physical beauty was plagued by thoughts of insecurity. This was reflected in comments to others about their flaws. It may have been their weight, their stature, or how they were aging. For the person with intellectual prowess, there was a constant reviewing of the way others spoke or wrote. Content was often lost over attention to style. So much time was wasted judging others in order to bolster one's own self-esteem. Then there were those who saw those around them through eyes of love and acceptance. Each person they met had a unique story based on their purpose in life. Although I woke up several times during the night, the effects of the dream remained with me. I wondered how I was like each of the people in my dream. How did that make me a better person? What is on your mind and heart today as you interact with those around you?
