The journey into "I don't know"

Most of us like to know what lies ahead. The truth is that what lies ahead is only an illusion. It exists in our imagination and can manifest in countless ways. When we enter into "I don't know," we are acknowledging that unknown over which we have no control. It is an uncomfortable place to be because it is populated by shoulds, coulds, and maybes. This is the point at which we have to trust that everything will work out in one way or another. It requires that we release the outcome. This is all part of our journey through life. From the day we are born to the day we die, we live in a world of uncertainty. That uncertainty adds to our adventure. If we knew what was planned for us at every step of the way, life would become dull. There would be little opportunity to grow because of predictability. When we state, "I don't know," we open ourselves up to what can be. All we need do is be patient and the answers will come in forms that we may never have thought imaginable. When was the last time you responded with "I don't know?" What eventually followed for you as your answer to that statement?
