The perfect plan
There was a television show back in the 1960s called "Mission: Impossible." Each week the team would take on a nearly impossible challenge and develop a plan to accomplish their goals. This required flawless execution. Each team member had to be in just the right place and time. So did everyone else who had been at the root of the problem that led to the mission. It was as if everyone involved had been given a script to follow, and they did so without question or objection. While the show was entertaining, it meant that the viewer had to suspend reality to enjoy it. Imagine starting your day by having to orchestrate each encounter. That would mean that you would have to account for every possible deviation and autocorrect it. That is the beauty of having a script writer. Instead we cope with life as it happens. We make the best decisions we can based on what we know at the moment. Then we watch time pass and accept the consequences of those decisions. Our plan is never perfect, only human. when we release control over the outcome, we allow ourselves to live in and enjoy the moment. How is your perfect plan working for you today?
