Transfer, please

In your journey through life you have innumerable opportunities to evaluate the direction in which you are heading. Imagine your life to be like a bus ride. You are standing in a busy terminal with hundreds of other people waiting to travel in various directions. Before boarding the bus, you look up to read its destination to ensure that you are traveling on the right course. It may read: New Job, Marriage, Divorce, Parenthood, or Schooling. Once on board you take in the scenery much as you do in your daily activities. At one point you realize that the bus is no longer going where you want or has gone as far as it can travel. You get the driver's attention and prepare to depart the bus. Across the street is another bus with your new destination boldly printed on it. You ask the driver for a transfer and off you go on the next leg of your journey. Our lives are a series of transfers taking us in the direction that is right for us in the moment. We never know how many buses it will take to reach our final destination. So we continue to ask for transfers until that day comes knowing that the right bus will always be waiting to carry us forward. When was the last time that you asked for a transfer?
