Transformation

When you hear the word “transformation,” you immediately associate it with change. But just how much change does that involve? Are we talking about the change that a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly or are we talking about a minor change like a new hairstyle? It doesn’t really matter what the actual change is. What matters is how you feel as a result of it. When you experience the transformation, ask yourself what feelings accompany it. Do you feel excited, self-confident, happy, renewed? This should be the focus on the effect that the transformation has had on you. Is there any part of your life that would benefit from a transformation? If the result was a set of positive emotions, wouldn’t it be worth considering? Again, it doesn’t need to be drastic. You don’t have to plan for a body makeover or an identity reconstruction. Ask yourself, “What small doable change could I make that would enhance who or what I am?” Would it be on a physical level like having your teeth straightened, stepping into a more social role like hosting a large party for your friends, or making a purchase of something you have always wanted and could afford? What difference would it make in your life as a result of it? Any of these would be considered a form of transformation. What has been on your mind lately that could benefit from a change that both you and those around you would notice?
