Voices from the past

We never know when someone that we may have interacted with years ago will show up unexpectedly in the present. Not long ago I set an intention to grow my coaching business. I have learned to let go of the "hows" for that occurring. From out of the blue I received a telephone call from a woman in Arizona where I lived 20 years earlier. At first I wasn't sure who she was, but as she explained our connection, it all came back to me. We had worked together on a collaborative program integrating students with special needs with students in a regular public school class. It only lasted one semester, but the experience had a profound effect on her. More than twenty years later she was contacting me to serve as a consultant for a charter school she had opened focusing on children with special needs. Here was an opportunity for both of us to benefit from the years that had passed since our last meeting. You never know when someone from your past will reach into your present.
